Coleman Lantern and Stove Check Valve Removal Tool
If your Coleman lantern or stove no longer holds air the seal on the cap or the check valve is usually the culprit. If fuel is left in the tank for an extended period of time it has the potential to "gum" up the CV. This tool allows you to safely remove the CV and clean it or replace it.
What makes this tool special, well, Coleman uses a proprietary thread pitch for the check valve. The die to make this tool is VERY expensive
Made a couple of these for myself and fellow Coleman enthusiast, since they turned out really well, I've done several small production runs for others to purchase
The outer tube/prongs are made from A513 alloy steel that has a higher tensile strength than mild steel but not hard enough to damage the check valves slots. The threaded shafts are made from mild steel (1018) to limit and damage from aggressive usage and residue when threading it in the check valve.
Comes with 2 threaded shafts that will fit almost all Coleman Check Valves and instructions.
This tool will fit most Coleman white Gas and Kerosene lanterns and stoves: i.e. 242 243 200 200A 220 228 236 237 327 427 635 639 etc.
Coleman Cabin Stove Check Valve Removal Tool
Same as above but for the large Coleman Cabin Stove.
What makes this tool special, well, it's long and has a larger OD. Coleman uses another proprietary thread pitch for this check valve which is also different than the lantern Check Valve. The die to make this tool is even more expensive!
These are hard to make. It's a multi-step process of machining, boring, TIG welding and more machining.
I made one for a fellow Coleman enthusiast and he loved it! They turned out really well but these are one offs and are made to order.

This tool will only fit the Coleman Cabin Stove.
Coleman Lantern Carry Case Plans and
a How-to Video on YouTube.
Fun little project to build a custom fit lantern carry case.
These cases are made from 1/8" Baltic Birch Plywood (or 1/4" underlayment plywood) with reinforced solid wood corners.
Spary paint of your choice, Chome hardware from Home Depot and Coleman sticker from OldColemamParts.com
You can watch the video and download the free plans. Tailer the box size to your lantern. Just measure your lanterns height and that will be the internal height of the box. Adjust the total hieght and width accordingly.
If you are not into DIY, I also make these boxes for sale as a Flat Pack (you just have to glue and paint) or as a complete box.
Coleman Lantern Burner Screens
Pre-cut stainless steel burner screens for 242/200 and 220's
These are punched out as needed. Requires a few days to produce and ship out. These can be mailed out using standard post globally.
Can also supply 8" x 10" or or 4" x 9" sheets
Coleman Lantern Airtube Cleaner/Purge Tool
Can't get any air in to the tank? Most times this is an issue with the check valve or the pump itself. There are also times that the airtube that is inside the fount will get an obtruction in it (dirt, rust, bad or old fuel) This tube is in a hard to reach spot inside the fount. One way to purge the obstruction is to force it out with air or fluid.
This tool screws into the standard check valve (once the pump rod is removed) and you attach a standard road bike pump to force air (~180psi) through the air tube pushing any obstruction out.
The one end of the tools has the same thread pitch (1/4" x 32tpi) as a standard coleman check valve and the other end has a high pressure presta valve use in bike tires.
No special tools required. The check valve remains in the fount and you simply remove the pump rod, screw the the tool in and attach the bike pump on the other side and pump blowing the obstruction out.
Coleman 220 Lantern Burner Cap Removal Tool
This is a Custom make 220 burner cap removal tool of my own design.
If you ever have to take a 220 cap off for installing new burner screens or just cleaning the lantern you will know this can be a challange. Using pliers will mark up the soft brass and can make it hard to get a mantel on.
Yes, many people have already discover that a Torx T55 will also work but the do have sharp edges and mark up the inside of burner burner cap.
This tool is custom made and has with the same profile as the cap.
There are just the right size to use will the burner assmbly is still inthe lanter and that you can still hold onto it.
To be used with a 1/2" wrench or socket.
